Career Story
One decision changed everything.

Family Business
Mechanical insulation and an early interest in business and construction
Family Business
My interest in business began long before I entered banking. My parents owned a mechanical insulation company, and growing up around their work gave me an early appreciation for what it takes to build and operate something of your own. I was drawn to construction and wanted to find my place within the industry, but at the time, I did not know what opportunities existed outside of field and labor positions.

The Pivot
Choosing an entry-level teller opportunity instead of remaining in restaurant work
The decision that changed everything.
The Pivot
My entry into banking happened unexpectedly when I was offered a position as a teller. At the time, I believed I could make more money waiting tables, and I questioned whether starting over in an entry-level banking role made sense, but choosing the bank was ultimately one of the best pivots I could have made.
Until then, I had been mostly shielded from the financial side of my parents’ business. I understood timesheets and payroll, but I did not yet understand the banking relationships and financial systems that helped keep the company operating. I remembered the gifts that arrived during the holiday season and the way the bank made my parents feel valued as clients. Seeing that relationship firsthand from the other side made those memories click and gave me a new understanding of the role banks play in supporting businesses.

Career Growth
Progression through banking operations, portfolio management, and commercial lending
Career Growth
What began as a teller position became a seven-year career spanning client service, banking operations, portfolio management, commercial lending, and commercial real estate transaction support. It showed me how banks support the people, properties, and companies operating within a community, and it introduced me to a side of business that I had always been near without fully understanding.

Full Circle
Commercial real estate and complex transaction operations
Full Circle
Commercial real estate eventually brought my interests full circle. Today, I coordinate the people, documents, approvals, vendors, costs, and deadlines behind complex commercial transactions. Much of my work happens between senior leadership, borrowers, legal counsel, title companies, appraisers, credit teams, and internal operations. My responsibility is to make sure each party has what they need and that the transaction continues moving toward execution.
What I bring is more than task management. I understand how the pieces of a transaction affect one another, recognize risks before they become emergencies, and create the structure people need to execute confidently. The career I found unexpectedly allowed me to return to an industry that interested me from the beginning, now equipped with the financial, operational, and transaction experience to make a meaningful contribution.
